Camilo Botero

Born in Medellin, Colombia, Camilo Botero is an artist whose journey has taken him across Australia, France, Brazil and now Houston. Immersed in different cultures and environments throughout his life, these experiences have deeply shaped his artistic perspective allowing him to collect visual and human references that continue to influence his work today.

For more than 12 years, art has served as both a personal practice and a way of understanding the world. Working across murals, drawing, and tattooing, Camilo explores identity, symbolism, and transformation through organic forms, movement, and composition.

Deeply inspired by mythology and humanity’s innate need to create meaning, his work focuses on flow and visual depth. He is particularly drawn to the natural curves of the body and creating compositions that feel fluid, intentional and alive both on skin and flat surfaces
